 stuck crank gear

PostSubject: stuck crank gear   Thu Apr 12, 2012 1:10 pm

Hey im trying to replace my oil pump and i can get the dam grank timing gear off i need help i used pullers i drilled holes and tapped them for puller didnt work i heated it up didnt work what can i do i need this off asap???? its on a rb20det

The good news is I have a spare crank pulley if you destroy that one. I always used a 2 jaw puller with no trouble (fortunately for me anyway)

Sorry I misread. Are you talking about the crank pulley or the timing gear? I have a spare crank pulley. You are going to have to split the timing gear with a cold chisel and replace it, that's a very common problem.
