PostSubject: Just spit on it   Tue Jul 17, 2012 8:20 am

Finally made a build thread

Here's me and my car

Here's my engine: 1994 VH45DE 115kmi picked it up along with a NA z32 trans for $1,000..not a bad deal I think

Plans aren't anything too fancy. I mainly am going to drift it, like I did with my KA. I plan on keeping the VH stock for the time being with the exception of emissions delete, ect. For the swap kit, I decided on the Xcessive kit and Mazworx headers.

On to cool pics

Hot rods n ****

Buddy's LS1 FD

Pulling the KA, Trans, exhaust, drive shaft ect.

I hate this battery tray

I plan on running remote terminals for the relocated battery in its place for convenience

Old **** n body pieces

This rats nest of wires will be relocated to make the bay look 100x better

Getting ready to test fit (Just the motor)

Fits great

Re-routing the harness (Zipties aren't permanent, we put nice rubber isolated brackets around the harness)

New few box location(s) - You can see the new mounting hardware that's not zip ties

KA Jumper harness connectors

These showed up for my buddy's car. I had to mock them up lol

- Wheels are for the hot rod

- Rear brakes for the FD

De-pinning the ECU

Separtated each connector and splices for when I re- loom the harness.

Weekday fun doing wiring and drinking

Going to re-loom everything to make it look pretty

Extending wires on coils

Much better looking and starting to re-loom

Dash out to start Hydro e-brake install along with brake line tuck/relocate. My friend Joe did the lines and relocate, came out great.

Looks really nice, quality build my man!

Those brake lines look near factory. You have some quality craftsmanship coming from Joe to say the least!

Thanks man, I actually sold the blast pipes to Ian. Going custom exhaust with either Magnaflow or Flowmaster muffler(s).

Got my pressure plate bolts last night so I could finally install the clutch and trans. Found out the slave is seized, so I need to get a new one.

Also I took off the exhaust studs to make room for the new bolts the headers came with. I recommend picking up a stud extractor (I got mine from Matco $25, #SR101) it makes life a whole lot easier when taking them out. Just slide it over and turn lol. Will be installing the headers tonight

Got home to some more parts
- VH Intake from MazworX

Yea, I can't wait to get it running. I'd post some more pics of the roadster but it's already off to Snap-On to get auctioned away.

Not too much done last night

- New steering wheel Smile

Headers installed

I think i'm going to cut the front core support to make installing and removing a little easier. Motor is in the car right now, sry no pic, but the headers aren't bolted on it. I tried to get it in with them on but ran into clearance issues. Had to unbolt the steering shaft to get the header around it. I'm having a bitch time getting the headers in lol

Made some more progress:

Removed the Xmember to so I had clearance to install the motor with the headers on it, It made it 100x easier. I didn't really see any other way lol, I kept hitting PS harlines and the Xmember.

After we removed it, we held to motor in place (with the hoist) and bolted up the trans mount. Once that was done, I put jack (with a pad on it) under the oil pan so I could remove the hoist to get the X member back on. Xmember went on no problem and the engine mounts lined up perfectly to the holes on the Xmember.

Stock s13 (non abs) booster worked great, didn't have to switch it out.

Engine looks great mocked up with everything installed (Headers, trans, ect)

Now it's time to take it out again to get the bay painted.
