Not true that its the only fuel related part you havent changed. The wiring on all s13s for the fuel pump is very inadequate and as the car gets older, the continuity in the wires gets worse. The insulation cracks and now when you make corners it touches the chassis and grounds out. BAM!!! no fuel pump/shorted life span of fuel pump. Start tracing wires before you buy a new pump. Then DMM the wire for continuity through them. If it all checks out great then buy a pump and see if it helps.

I feel dumb i took my power steering out and i got the altima fans to replace the clutch fan but ive been reading and it didnt accur to me that the water pump is ran off of the same belt. So my questian is if there is a belt small enough that will run just the clutch fan and water pump. Ive herd of a rx7 belt off of a 91 but im not sure. Thanks

belts are sold in mm measurements. take a string and a mm tape measure and figure out what you need.

Is this the normal way to do this. Just having a belt on the clutch fan and bottom pulley? I dont want to cause more problems then need be.

You need something to tension the belt. Vato Zone sells idler pulleys that bolt in place of accessories, I think.

Well ive found that people leave the pump and just take the componets out and fill them with fluid. So its basically just a tensioner.

on one of my cars i have a straight belt with no tensioner running the water pump. straight from the crank pulley. never had any issues, ever. you just have to make sure its somewhat of a tight fit. then put it on like a bike chain. just sayin.

or you could put your power steering back on like a normal person.

My pumps out and I dont want to biy another or worry about it going out again. So I just want it off. Ill try what you have or just use the water pump as a tensioner.

I have the dohc. I would go to the junk yard and do the sohc alternator bracket set up but the junkyards around here are pretty scarce.

I got that setup for 40 bucks if you want to come get it.

I was without power steering for a few years on my car and it was stupid and annoying. Especially at the track drifting without it I felt like I was going to pop my shoulder out of its socket.
